The Story

Started With Purpose. Grown With Discipline.

Naeem Ijaz grew up in Gujranwala — a city built on manufacturing, trade, and getting things done. In 1995, he put that background to work and launched Abdul-Moeed Textile Industry with one clear goal: produce prayer mats Pakistani households could actually rely on.

He ran it with discipline from the start. Quality over speed. Repeat customers over short-term volume. That approach built something real. Over the years, AMTI grew steadily — more workers, upgraded machinery, a wider product range — without ever losing the standard that made it work.

Today, his son Abdul Moeed Naeem leads the business. The manufacturing floor now runs a complete in-house process, from raw material sourcing and dyeing through to cutting, stitching, and final quality inspection — handled by a team of over 150 skilled workers. AMTI is now online, reaching customers across Pakistan directly.

How We Make It

From Raw Material to Finished Mat

Every jaynamaz we produce goes through five stages of in-house production, managed by our team in Gujranwala.

01
Raw Material Sourcing
Premium velvet, foam, base fabric, and thread are sourced and inspected on arrival before entering production.
Only materials that meet our internal quality standard enter the floor.
02
Dyeing
Fabric is dyed in-house using controlled processes to ensure consistent, fade-resistant colour across every batch.
What you see in the product photo is what arrives at your door.
03
Cutting
Fabric is cut to precise dimensions for each mat type. Velvet, foam base, and backing are prepared separately before assembly.
Clean cuts mean clean edges — this stage directly affects the final finish.
04
Stitching and Assembly
Skilled seamstresses stitch layers together and finish the edges. Embroidered mats go through an additional detailing stage.
Stitch quality and edge finish are checked throughout this stage.
05
Quality Inspection and Packaging
Every finished mat is inspected individually before packaging. Mats that do not pass inspection are pulled from the batch.
No mat leaves our facility without clearing this final checkpoint.
What We Stand By

Three Principles. No Exceptions.

These have guided AMTI since the beginning and they have not changed.

01
No Shortcuts on Quality
Every mat is inspected before dispatch. If it does not meet our standard, it does not ship. This has been the rule since day one.
02
Honest Pricing
We price fairly. Good quality at a price that makes sense for Pakistani families, not inflated because the market might absorb it.
03
Local Employment
Over 150 workers from Gujranwala and surrounding areas earn their livelihood through AMTI. That is something we take seriously.
